Basketball Hoop Pretzels

I can’t play basketball. For one thing, I’m not so tall, so unless we’re using the Little Tykes hoops I ain’t reachin’.

Man, do you remember Little Tyke’s toys? Miss that stuff.

I want that in my bedroom, along with the basketball hoop. I would store bloody mary mixes and doughnut holes in the toy storage section, and place a waste basket under the basketball hoop.

I’m sort of pissed my parents didn’t get these things for me. No doubt I would join the Goonies crew with this pirate ship.

Not to mention, if I had that basketball set, who knows? Maybe I could’ve ended up playing for the WNBA. Anything’s possible. Look how Chunk ended up.

Anything’s possible. Hey, never say never. If you’re a Goonie you know this already.

Never say die.

In the meantime, while I practice my hoop and pirate ship navigating skills (you know, because that’s imperative to being a good basketball player), I can at the very least make cute basketball hoop pretzels. They’re great for NBA, WNBA or college hoops fans. Make these basketball hoop pretzels as a gift or serve at a party.

Although I strive to keep most of my recipes innovative and unique, I actually got the inspiration from spoonful, actually. I provided a link at the bottom of the post.

Using a red food pen, draw a rectangle near the border, then a small square in the center. Be warned, not all food pens are created equally. I provided a link in ingredients for food pens that work well.

Dip the side of a Reese’s mini into white chocolate and adhere it to the basketball hoop pretzel backboard.

Using a black food pen draw lines on a mini orange gumball.  There should be two lines, perpendicular to one another, then two more lines that curve through. Just like on a basketball. Dip in white chocolate and attach to hoop.
