Three-Tiered Crêpe Cake
I’m infatuated with non-standard cakes, you see. It all started with my first post as a blogger; the cookie cake.
Sort of got out of hand from there.
1. Three-tiered cinnamon roll cake. 2. Reese’s cookie cupcakes. 3. Birthday funfetti cake marshmallows. 4. Cake stuffed strawberries. 5. Three-layer pizza cake. 6. Cookie cake.
Recently, KitchenAid approached me to contribute to the amazing new blog page on their site, The Kitchenthusiast. Celebration ensued.
After running up and down the streets while high-fiving strangers, doing a couple of keg stands, and gifting myself a Chia Pet, I finally settled down to brainstorm a few ideas with the team.
It was no shock when I found myself making a non-cake cake. Mmmmm you get my drift.
I am so excited to share with you my post.
See that? Three tiers of thin, delicate crêpes.
Like my purty hearts? I have a thing for strawberry hearts.
In between, we have sliced strawberries using my food processor and pastry cream with whipped cream folded in.
This would be wonderful to make for someone’s birthday, a wedding, shower, brunch or anniversary. Who really needs an excuse, though? Make it because it tastes so damn good.
Wan’t to see how I made it? Click here to visit the Kitchenthusiast to see how to conquer your very own three-tiered crêpe cake with sliced strawberries. Don’t forget to check out the other fabulous recipes by my fellow contributors. Such amazing talents.
On a side note, when browsing around on YouTube, I found this video about crepes. Hilarity on so many levels.
