Thanksgiving Caramel Pretzel Trees Recipe. With Purty Fall Leaves. Foliage Rocks!
Thanksgiving Caramel Pretzel Trees Recipe. With Purty Fall Leaves
I get constant requests to make more “quickie” recipes, and being such a people pleaser I must oblige. Â I created these little caramel and chocolate covered Pretzel Crisps once upon a time. They look like trees with teeny colorful leaves.
I mean this is cool for kids and all, but I absolutely make this for adult exclusive events. Yes, we drink jello shots and eat things in fun kindergarten shapes. What.
Okay, these remind me of New England because the leaves there in the fall are basically like looking at regular leaves on acid. I strongly recommend. It’s the ish.
Maybe you could count this as a Thanksgivingukkah treat too (FYI to all of you gentiles, Hanukkah lands on Thanksgiving this year.)? Pretzel Crisps are flat like matzah bread…Apparently yeast-free? Okay, maybe it’s a stretch.
Either way I am chowing these salty and sweet treats for people 1/3 my age but who’s keeping track phhhhhh.
Ingredients for Thanksgiving Caramel Pretzel Trees Recipe
–Caramel chews or frosting
Ready?
Melt caramel chews on Pretzel Crisps in the microwave for about 25 seconds. Press leaf sprinkles on top. An alternative is to spread on frosting and shake sprinkles on top. Melt chocolate and drizzle a trunk across the bottom of each crisp. You can fill a plastic sandwich bag with the chocolate, snip a bit o the corner and pipe out the trunk that way. Allow to harden and serve.
1 Fine Cookie RECORD! Shortest blog post. Even my post-it notes are longer.
Seriously though, this is a kid-friendly food that actually works on adult palates as well.
