Game Of Thrones Chocolate Dragon Egg. Hodor Approves.

Pretty much every Easter from here on out. This will be made. It’s by far the most HAM egg I have ever seen.

Is it cocky that I am dubbing my Game of Thrones dragon egg recipe the best egg recipe ever?

Nope.. ‘cus there’s an actual dragon inside. So you make your boiled eggs while I enjoy mine that’s made of white and milk chocolate. With a friggin’ dragon inside.

Turn down for Jon Snow.

Ingredients For Game Of Thrones Chocolate Dragon Egg

Chocoley chocolate candy melts

Red luster dust

Giant egg mold

Small dragon

To make your Game Of Thrones chocolate dragon egg, begin by selecting your chocolate.

Chocolate and White Chocolate Candy Melts, Game of Thrones, HBO, recipe, tutorial, how to make, chocolate, dragon, egg, easter, khaleesi, tv, telivision, pop culture, reference, ideas, scale, edible, giant, diy, craft, feast of fire and ice, cookbook, food, dessert, candy, chocolate, mold, egg, chocoley, instructions,

Chocoley was kind enough to provide some perfect chocolate compound. You will see how Chocoley perfectly fits this recipe…

You will need to melt down the chocolate for the egg shell. You can use a chocolate melting pot or a double boiler. I chose to use milk chocolate compound for the shell.

Melt the chocolate down, then fill each half of an egg mold to the top. You can also order the egg mold along with the chocolate at the Chocoley website.

Allow chocolate to sit and cool for a bit. Once the chocolate around the edge of the mold begins to set, wait a little longer then pour out the chocolate from the middle. The edges should be hardened enough so that they do not pour out and remain in mold.

Once fully cooled and hardened, place mold into freezer just to harden more for removal. Carefully press on bottom of mold to release the chocolate.

Next, you will use more melted chocolate to spread along each edge.

Attach both egg shell halves, placing a toy dragon inside.

Use more chocolate to spread across edges in order to prevent cracking.

Now your Game Of Thrones chocolate dragon egg is starting to come together. Calm down. Don’t go chopping someone’s head off, or anything.

This part is where the Chocoley chocolate compound comes in hand.

They are perfectly shaped to be used as scales for the egg.

In this case I used white chocolate. Just melt some white chocolate, then begin adding your scales by forming a circle of them at the very bottom of the egg.  Continue with another layer of scales, overlapping the first set, and so on until fully covered.

See how there is a spray can there? Ignore that. After trial and error I discovered that the best way to paint the egg was using red luster dust. Take a clean paint brush and lightly dust the scales over with a deep, dark red. This is why I used white chocolate, as the color will show more vividly.

Admire and worship your Game Of Thrones chocolate dragon egg.

Warn everyone of your wrath.

Store in cool room temperature, in a trunk, of course.
