Whiskey Dirt Pudding Shots with Drunken Gummies

Yes, I do realize that probably 80% of my recent recipe posts involve booze. Can you blame me?

Thankfully, I work from home so drinking on the job is no hr issue at 1 Fine Cookie. All I have to worry about is staying organized. Which brings me to everyone asking how the heck I do it all.

Staying organized, focused and motivated while working on my own business can sometimes be a challenge. My biggest ally is my ultra thin laptop. I need something I can move from room to room, that stores all of my information and allows me to research quickly.

I use the ASUS T300 Chi. It is one of the slimmest devices available… Sort of a love child of the laptop and tablet, a perfect all-around 2-in-1 device.

I use it to:

– Update my schedule on my calendar, so I stay motivated during the day

– Shop for supplies for photo shoots and recipe development

-Download and use helpful apps

– Jot down recipes as I go in the kitchen

– Keep a grocery list that I can send to my mobile device

…and more

I can carry with ease from the kitchen, to the studio, to my desk.

*Go: The beautifully portable design propels your life, allowing you to go anywhere with ease, and with 10 hours of battery there’s no need to plug in between library study session and group projects.

*Play: State-of-the-art ASUS TruVid display technology brings entertainment to your life with crystal clarity and lifelike detail, thanks to the 4x HD resolution. Because your time watching Netflix should be just as rewarding as your time spent hard at work.

*Create: The 2-in-1 experience is engineered to spark your creativity wherever and whenever inspiration strikes, whether that’s on the metro on the way home, or while you’re on your summer road trip. Thanks to the magnetic hinge firmly holding your tablet and keyboard together, docking will always be smooth and stable.

*Work: Don’t be fooled by its small size. Fanless, state-of-the-art Intel processors offer blazing speed and outstanding energy efficiency, so you can be confident that even though your computer is compact, it’s a powerhouse.

Soooooo I can have a glass a whiskey and get my work done. I maybe had one too many glasses, because I ended up making pudding spiked with whiskey. Then, with my maturity level of a 10-year-old, I used it for dirt pudding cups. THEN I used my drunken gummies recipe to make liquor-infused gummy worms on top. Adults rejoice, over this adult version of a childhood classic.

Ingredients for Whiskey Dirt Pudding Shots with Drunken Gummies

8 ounces of milk chocolate
5 egg yolks
2 T flour
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cups cold heavy whipping cream
4 teaspoons of whiskey, or more

Chocolate Cookies

Gummy worms

You will use my drunken gummy recipe for the gummy worms. I find that if short on time, just soaking overnight is good enough.

Heat milk and cream on stove until scalding hot, not bubbling. Slowly pour hot milk into egg whites while whisking very quickly. Once 2/3 of milk is whisked into eggs, pour egg mixture back into sauce pan and whisk to combine with remaining milk.
Heat on stove and mix constantly until it thickens into a custard. Make certain to stir along the bottom of the pan to prevent custard from scalding. Remove from stove and add in chocolate. Stir. Once cooled down, stir in teaspoons of whiskey to taste.
