A recipe for football field popsicles that are sure to impress and delight for football and tailgating parties. Serve instead of cake for a sports-themed birthday party!
  • Budget Saver green popsicles
  • Vanilla Tootsie Rolls Fruit Chews
  • Firm icing or frosting
  • Corn syrup
  1. To make your football field popsicles, get your supplies and tools ready beforehand. You will want your popsicles to be newly purchased and fresh. The older they are, the less likely that the candy will stick to the popsicles .
  2. Set up your platter for your football field popsicles, by cutting out a football-themed piece of scrapbook paper to fit a baking sheet. Place inside of baking sheet, then cover with plastic wrap. Set in freezer.
  3. Roll out vanilla Tootsie rolls on a piece of parchment paper. Cut out numbers to represent yardage on a football field. Peel and remove Tootsie Roll around numbers. Place in refrigerator until firm.
  4. Remove one green BudgetSaver popsicle at a time. Pat as dry as possible with a paper towel. Working quickly, peel numbers off of parchment paper and stick towards edge of popsicle.
  5. Pipe a frosting or icing onto popsicle to create the lines. Some icings and frostings stick better than others. You want something on the dryer side, that won't slide off of the popsicle. Place back into freezer as soon as possible.
