Golf Course Nachos for Father’s Day
Golf Course Nachos for Father’s Day
While all of you fools will be eating regular nachos this Father’s Day weekend, my dad will be eating a golf course nachos platter.
Okay, maybe he won’t because I live halfway across the country from him. Also he doesn’t really like golf. I like golf more than he does. So I’ll just do him a good one and eat it myself. Send him something Star Trek related.
Ingredients for Golf Course Nachos
Tortilla chips
Shredded cheese
Black refried beans
Hot sauce
Jalapeños
Pico De Gallo
Romaine lettuce
Guacamole
Bread Crumbs
A soft, white cheese
Mini flag toothpick (I used these and cut into a triangle)
To begin your golf course nachos, slice lettuce until it is totally shredded into fine pieces and set to the side. Roll some soft cheese, such as whole milk mozzarella, into a small ball and set to the side.
Stir hot sauce into refried beans. Top tortilla chips with cheese, refried beans, and sliced jalapeños. Place in oven on low broil until cheese is melted.
Top with pico de gallo, then cover in shredded lettuce. Spoon and spread a circle of guacamole on top of lettuce. Use a toothpick to make a hole in guacamole then stick toothpick next to hole. Place cheese ball on top of guacamole.
Press two cavities into shredded lettuce to form long craters. Spread a thin layer of guacamole along the inside of craters. Sprinkle and completely cover guacamole with bread crumbs. Press bread crumbs down.
Dad’s (and golf fans) everywhere will rejoice in these golf course nachos!
